BNZ Director Andy Pearce has just been appointed independent chairman of the country’s top genetics businesses, Focus Genetics, a company created recently, from the amalgamation of Rissington Breedline Ltd and Landcorp Farming Ltd’s genetics division.
The two entities officially merged on July 1.
Andy Pearce is regarded, in both Australia and New Zealand, as a leading strategist in science and technology, sustainable development and sustainable business.
He is a director of the Bank of New Zealand, and Christchurch City Holdings, Chairman of the Government’s Energy Efficiency Conservation Authority, and the founding Chief Executive of Landcare Research.
Mr Pearce is also a member of the Government's Green Growth Advisory Group.
