New Zealand wool will soon be winging its way to sin city, courtesy of a prominent US retailer.
Elders Primary Wool launched its “Just Shorn” carpet brand this time last year, and sales have so far been good in the lucrative US market.
“Just Shorn” has attracted attention from all the right companies, with up-market American retailer International Design Guild taking on the brand.
IDG is also launching a stand for the New Zealand product at the US’s largest annual flooring convention in Las Vegas later this month.
Elders Primary Wool Chairman Stu Chapman says support from such a major retailer has made all the work with “Just Shorn” worthwhile.
“It’s good news for sheep farmers,” said Mr. Chapman “because it’s something that they’ve wanted for many years. For a small kiwi company to be successful in the States is no mean feat, so it’s great news for the future of woolgrowers.”
The flooring show takes place on the 24th of January.
