Hawke’s Bay Shearer and World Champion Cam Ferguson added another triumph to his bursting trophy cabinet on Monday, breaking the world 8-hour lamb shearing record.

Ferguson’s record attempt was not without its drama, however, with a power cut interrupting proceedings just after 7am.

But Mr. Ferguson says the interruptions didn’t affect him unduly, and he’s pleased with the way he recovered.

He adds this latest record to his Golden Shears and world championship titles, both won last year.
