Hawke’s Bay grower Gareth Holder has been crowned 2010 Young Grower of the Year at Horticulture New Zealand’s national conference in Auckland.

Two days of practical and theoretical competition separated Mr Holder from the three other finalists as they pitted their horticultural skills against each other in the unlikeliest of urban settings.
