It’s been a busy week for Fonterra as its landmark Trading Among Farmers proposal was given the green light by shareholders.

The scheme allows farmers to trade shares among themselves and gives the public a chance for a stake in the company through investment units in the Fonterra Shareholder’s Fund.

Chairman Sir Henry van der Heyden says the co-op is finally moving in the right direction.
