Accolades go to a Central Hawke's Bay shearer who’s won a major title in England in the build up to next month's World Championships in Wales.

Golden Shears champion Cam Ferguson, 26, has won the Royal Cornwall Open, shearing 14 sheep in the final in a time of 10 minutes and seven seconds.

Two other New Zealanders featured in the Cornwall Open final; Far North shearer Matthew Smith finished third and Dannevirke Pareata Abraham fifth.
