Textile New Zealand says its first trade delegation to Moscow has returned brimming with confidence over the future of the wool trade with Russia.
Seven companies took part in the delegation that returned earlier this week.
Textile NZ chief executive Elizabeth Tennet says the textile industry in Russia is in a state of disarray, but there is huge interest in and potential for, high-quality, valued added woolen products from this country.
She says the Russian market is very keen to produce their own carpets, rugs and blankets.
