A new workshop being rolled out nationwide will help dairy farm owners and managers ensure they have the most effective effluent management systems on their farms.

The Effluent Management Planning workshop was developed by the Agriculture Industry Training Organisation (Agriculture ITO) in partnership with DairyNZ. And it’s available in June.

Agriculture ITO pastoral business coordinator Katrina Knowles says the workshops are designed for herd managers, farm managers, equity managers, sharemilkers, operations managers, and owners.

Farmers who complete the workshop will also earn the new NZQA-registered National Certificate in Dairy Farming  Managing Dairy Farm Effluent.
