Record Results For NZ Trade Exports

Strong exports especially of dairy products and logs pushed New Zealand to its first annual trade surplus in almost 8 years.

Statistics New Zealand said milk powder and logs drove a 9% or $329 million rise to $4 billion in exports in April compared to a year earlier.

Dairy exports were up 24% thanks to high global prices, while log exports rose 51%.
