After a successful trade meeting in China, the CEO of Silver Fern Farms is calling for a free trade deal to be worked out with several of our biggest Asian trading partners.

Keith Cooper of Silver Fern Farms attended the conference in China with trade minister Tim Groser and delegates from the New Zealand dairy industry.

Mr. Cooper says the increasing population throughout Asia, coupled with a lifestyle change, presents New Zealand with potentially lucrative trade opportunities.

Mr. Cooper says trade deals with South Korea and Japan should be high on the Government’s priority list in the near future.
