Wool Partners International Rejects Wool Promotion Levy

Wool Partners International says it won’t support a generic wool promotion payment because it wants to focus on more targeted marketing

WPI rejected the wool testing levy established by the International Wool Textile Organisation on Friday. The IWTO levy was launched last month at 0.25c per kilo of greasy wool.

The CEO of Wool Partners, Iain Abercrombie, says wool growers will get a bigger bang for their buck by building new relationships around Wools of New Zealand and the Laneve carpet sustainability brand.

The WPI  marketing business Wools of New Zealand has more than 100 brand partners and 1500 partner retailers across the major markets.
