The receivers of South Canterbury Finance are hoping a joint effort will allow them to offload a stake in South Island dairy farm company Dairy Holdings.
The collapsed finance company, which has a 33.6 per cent stake in Dairy Holdings, will have its share marketed as part of a package deal with three American investors and local businessman Humphry Rolleston.
Together the three own just under 62.5 per cent of Dairy Holdings, and receiver Kerryn Downey says the combined offer makes the most sense.
Dairy Holdings owns 58 dairy farms in the South Island, milking more than 43,000 cows, and producing about 15 million kilograms of milk solids.
