The Department of Labour needs your feedback on its draft guidelines for the Safe Use of Quad Bikes on Farms by December 16th.
It’s part of a safety campaign launched by the department earlier this month that aims to reduce the high number of accidents on farms involving quad bikes.
850 people are injured each year riding quad bikes on farms – and five die according to Chief Advisor for Health and Safety Geraint Emrys.
“I think these guidelines are very practical based and we hope that they will provide advice and tools within the guidelines that people can use to work through their understanding about our expectation.”
