Natural Dairy Holdings appears to be surviving a Serious Fraud Office investigation as it continues in its bid to buy the Crafar farms.

Natural Dairy has an agreement with Crafar receivers KordaMentha to buy 16 properties, conditional on Overseas Investment Office approval.

That approval has been thrown into doubt as the SFO probes Natural Dairy’s dealings on the Crafar farms, but KordaMentha insists the offer is still the best on the table.

Spokesperson Bill Ralston says the company can do little but wait for word on the investigation.

“Not a thing came through over the weekend, and I think everyone is sitting here, waiting for various Government agencies to do what they have to do.”
