Prices have fallen on Fonterra’s latest globalDairyTrade auction.
The average selling price for all products dipped 2.5 per cent to $US3506 per tonne.
Skim Milk Powder dropped the furthest, falling 4.7 per cent to $US3072 per tonne.
Fonterra globalDairyTrade manager Paul Grave says although prices are down on a fortnight ago, the result is still good news.
“I think it’d be a brave person that said volatility had stopped.
"These prices are very stable compared to the last couple of years, whole milk powder and [Anhydrous Milk Fat] declining by one percent, in today’s volatile world, it’s as good as a line ball really.”
The next auction is on November 2nd.
